rabbits, hats and baths

by amy sharp

I pull my clothes off and sit in a hot bath. I tell myself that by the time I notice the water is cool and dull that I will have washed it all away. My mind will be clear and focused and I will rise out of the wet like a new person. An exact replication of the girI I used to be. The problem is you can't trick yourself really. You can lie, but you can't trick yourself. It's a flaw we share. It's a forever flaw.
