add it up

The thing is that I didn't even know. I wasn't actually prepared to understand that it would take everything I had to do the math. Me plus you minus you divided by this multiplied by the sum all of that. It's absurd. We don't go around knowing things will change. Things will get complicated. People tell us things, like time goes fast. Your heart is a fire pit. The world spins on chance. You have no idea what is happening behind the curtain. They say things, but mouths just move and we are always too far away from now. Now is a place where shoulders sit heavy. A place where no one really explains how hard it is to just make things line up. To just add it up.
